The Wood Green School Young Rotarians Interact Club have worked hard fundraising for their chosen charities all year long. From plant sales to cake sales, discos to swimathons, every activity has been completely organised by the children in the club and been support by the Witney Rotary Club.

Each year the children are asked to choose two charities to fundraise for. The children in the Rotarians Interact Club need to research and present about the charities to each other. They choose a local and an international charity. This year the Child Brain Injury Trust were fortunate enough to have been chosen as their local charity. We were delighted to hear all about their fundraising at a recent cheque presentation in October.

The children’s fundraising efforts were celebrated with a wonderful evening of speeches at which the Child Brain Injury Trust were presented with a cheque for £500. Our Fundraising Officer Emily Honey attended. She said “It is really great to see so many young people working hard to make a positive difference in their community and we thank them for helping us to raise awareness of childhood acquired brain injury.”

We would like to thank the Wood Green School Young Rotarians Interact Club for their hard work and support.
