21 runners valiantly raced for the Child Brain Injury Trust in the Vitality British London 10k Run this year. This is the largest number of runners the Child Brain Injury Trust has ever had enter the challenge. We were delighted to receive so much support with teams and individuals running from: 9 Gough Square, Towry, Boyes Turner, Thrings Solicitors, FieldFisher and Hodge Jones and Allen.

The run was held on Sunday 12 July and we were very fortune to have some sunshine with a slight breeze – perfect running weather! The race is now in its’ 15th year and once again took in many of the well-known London landmarks that has made the event so famous. This included Piccadilly Circus, the Theatre Royal and Downing Street. For some of our regular runners, they will have noticed there was a slightly different route this year, which offered a fantastic finishing point to cheer on our team near Trafalgar square.

Our fastest runner achieved 28th place with a very impressive time in the region of 36 minutes. Although a huge congratulations and thank you to all who took part, wearing their Child Brain Injury Trust running vests with pride, as they crossed the finish line.

All together, the runners managed to successfully raise over £5,000 – a fantastic amount! This money will go towards helping the Child Brain Injury Trust provide support and information, to children with acquired brain injuries and their families, to assist them in reaching their full potential.
