Spring is my favourite season, it’s a time when we celebrate the ‘new’, it’s when the evenings are lighter which means many of us feel renewed and want to be more active given that we have spent so much time in the dark throughout winter.

At the Child Brain Injury Trust we are looking forward to connecting with families, supporters and colleagues throughout the Spring months to offer our support, expertise and to collaborate on exciting projects.

Our new financial year starts now and so does our plan for the next 12 months.  We have some exciting new initiatives which we are looking forward to telling you about and some amazing events which will not only raise awareness of brain injury but also vital funds for our work across the country supporting families.  Announcements coming soon……….

bikes

With the lighter evenings now getting longer and warmer, it’s a time when children want to play outside more or want to get on their bikes more and be more active.  Accidents, bumps and falls can happen anywhere and at any time, and we certainly don’t want to discourage anyone from getting active, but we would encourage everyone to minimise the risk of head injury.  So, wearing a safety helmet when out cycling, skateboarding or even horse riding is extremely important, as is making sure car safety seats are properly fitted and crossing the road safely.

What’s important is that children have fun, by being active and enjoying time with family and friends.  Being active is important for so many reasons including physically, emotionally and for general wellbeing.

Our new Service Guide is growing with new listings coming online all the time.  It’s a great way for companies to promote their services to our legal partners, through our rehabilitation service and directly to families and commissioners we work with.  So why not get ahead and support our charity whilst promoting your service.
