Last week Carson McDowell invited us to a cheque presentation at their Belfast offices, but this was a cheque presentation with a twist- as we had no idea how generous the donation was!

Following a recent transaction, clients Bruce and Stella Kelly requested to make a very generous gift of £10,000 to support the Child Brain Injury Trust. The total amount was recently presented to Gayle Baird, CBIT’s Campaigns and Communications Coordinator.

Gayle said: “The support of the local business community in Northern Ireland is vital to our work. We are fortunate to receive some statutory funding- but to develop and offer more choice of events and activities to the growing number of families we support requires additional funding.

“We could not continue to develop our service in this way without the help of people like Stella and Bruce Kelly and the whole Carson McDowell Team. We have been amazed by the generosity of Stella and Bruce and we look forward to putting some exciting plans in place!”

The Child Brain Injury Trust provides vital support, information and training to anyone affected by childhood acquired brain injury. This includes the child or young person themselves, their family and the professionals who support them. The small team, based just outside Belfast supports almost 250 families all over Northern Ireland.
