Press release – 07th October 2025

The Child Brain Injury Trust is proud to announce the return of GloWeek 2025, taking place from the 20th to the 26th of October 2025. This important national campaign raises awareness of road safety and the vital importance of being visible during the darker autumn and winter months.

As the clocks go back and the nights draw in, keeping children and young people safe becomes even more critical. This year, we’re determined to make GloWeek 2025 the brightest yet, and we need your help to spread our life-saving message: “Be Seen, Not Hurt.”

Start a Conversation That Could Save a Life

GloWeek is built on a simple yet powerful action: having a conversation. We’re asking adults everywhere to talk to the children and young people in their lives about why bright clothing, reflective gear, and being visible on the roads matter so much. These conversations don’t just educate, they empower families to take small, practical steps that can prevent life-changing injuries.

Support Road Safety Awareness

Every donation helps us reach more families with our safety message. Please support GloWeek 2025 through our JustGiving campaign.

Free E-Learning for Children and Primary Schools

We’re offering free access to our ‘Be Seen, Not Hurt’ e-learning session, specially designed for primary school-aged children. Led by our expert team, this engaging session goes beyond traditional road safety talks to help children understand how to protect their incredible brains and why staying visible keeps them safe.

Landmarks Lighting Up for Child Safety

In a wonderful show of nationwide support, over 65 buildings and landmarks across the UK will light up in Child Brain Injury Trust colours on Friday, 25 October. You can view our map of participating landmarks online, and we’d love to hear your suggestions for other buildings to join the campaign. To nominate a landmark, please email marketing@cbituk.org.

GloWeek is more than a campaign; it’s a movement. Together, we can create brighter, safer days for children and families across the UK, one conversation and one small action at a time.
