The Child Brain Injury Trust is delighted to announce they have been chosen as the local charity of the year for the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. To launch a year of fundraising, staff from the Charity were on hand shaking buckets alongside Sainsbury’s staff members and giving out information to shoppers this week. Some of the families the Charity has supported from Oxfordshire attended the launch as well as the life-size ‘Little Tykes Toy Car’ which is also supporting the Charity.

Sue Coyle, PR Ambassador from Sainsbury’s Kidlington says, “We’re really looking forward to raising funds for the Child Brain Injury Trust over the next year. As a local Charity we can see the big difference they make to children with an acquired brain injury and their family. We’re delighted some of the families that the Charity has supported in Oxfordshire have come down to this launch and the life size Little Tykes Toy Car, which is also supporting the Charity has been able to come down- this will certainly help raise awareness amongst our shoppers!”

We’re really thankful to Sainsbury’s Kidlington for making us their charity of the year and look forward to working on a calendar of fundraising events with the store throughout the year. The Oxford Mail have written a great article about the support from Sainsburys as well as more about the Child Brain Injury Trust. Read more here.
