On Monday 1st December the Child Brain Injury Trust launched its’ first urgent appeal for funding in its’ 24 year history. For the past 6 years we have received a Department of Health grant to fund part of our vital services. But with the ever increasing pressure on government grants and further cuts, unfortunately we did not receive this government grant this year.

This represents a gap in our funding, but with your help we can continue to build a brighter future for children and families affected by acquired brain injury.

Through the good times and the bad, we are there for children and families, which is why we are launching this appeal to continue our vital work. As a charity we work to help families come to terms with the devastating impact that a brain injury has on their child and the rest of their loved ones. Brain injury can strike at any time and affect anyone. It does not discriminate, but the consequences are devastating.

“The Child Brain Injury Trust has been with us throughout our journey, no matter what we need and when. We are only one of thousands of families throughout the UK who benefit from their long-term support which cannot be found elsewhere. Without them many of us would simply be left isolated, unsupported and confused.”

Our ask is simple. We need your help. From just £3 a month you can support families affected by childhood acquired brain injury. We believe no one should face brain injury alone, so join us now.
