We are delighted to be working with Freshwalks to bring you an outstanding fundraising event this September 17th that will challenge your fitness and stamina whilst also providing the chance to take in some amazing scenery. The Three Reservoirs Challenge is a bespoke fundraising walk that the team at Freshwalks has very kindly designed on our behalf. This will pose a very intriguing challenge to anyone that’s undertaken (or considered undertaking) the Peak District Challenge or similar distance walk in the Peaks. You will take on a 36.5km walk in just one day, tackling uphill climbs, forests, moorlands and will of course see…three reservoirs!
This walk is guided by experienced walk leaders, so all you have to do is focus on the end goal and enjoy some beautiful surroundings.
Joining us is really easy. All you need to do is register your intent to walk on this webpage and then set up a JustGiving page and ask your friends, family and colleagues to support your walking and fundraising journey.
There is no registration/participation fee to pay, simply a fundraising goal for you to meet. We are asking each participant to raise a minimum of £250 for us; a worthy target for a worthy challenge.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up and start lacing up your walking boots!
This epic Peak District challenge walk starts in the village of Bamford on the Hope Valley line between Manchester and Sheffield. Our route loops around the three reservoirs of Derwent, Howden and Ladybower and we climb up through a forest to explore the moorlands high above the magnificent Alport Castles. It’s a challenging but glorious route offering diverse scenery and a chance to explore some lesser known and remote parts of the Peak District.
