“The trainer from the beginning of the full day training was engaging, very child-centred and extremely passionate about informing others about ABI… Tamsin’s case study makes me wonder how many students I have worked with over the years in schools who have an ABI and nobody realises.”

Join our free and accredited workshop online to explore the experiences of children, young people, and their families following childhood acquired brain injury.

“I loved this training. It was very informative and gave me lots to think about, consider and look into. I knew a fair amount about brain injury having worked with adults with ABI, but I did not realise some of the differences between adults and children and i will be considering these in more depth now.

You may think that you do not know any children with an acquired brain injury, but due to the hidden nature of this disability, how can you be sure? The Child Brain Injury Trust’s training on childhood acquired brain injury aims to provide a no-nonsense, jargon free approach to childhood acquired brain injury.

“The workshop has holistically given me a lot to think about as it is all interlinked and complements each element of the training. My head is full with ideas and increased confidence in working with children with an ABI!”

The Understanding Childhood Acquired Brain Injury workshop will cover:
• What an acquired brain injury (ABI) is
