This E-learning session looks at…how sleep (and a lack of it) is an issue for the whole family.  We will investigate the wide range of factors that can lead to disrupted sleep focussing on common difficulties experienced by children with an ABI and we will look at how our own sleep habits impact on others in the household.

The session will be taken by Carmel Gallagher, Child & Family Support Coordinator (Yorkshire & Humberside)

On completion of the E-Learning Session participants will further their understanding of:

  • sleep and its impact on mental and physical health
  • how sleep impacts on learning and functioning
  • common sleep disorders in children
  • the link between ABI and sleep disorders
