This Master Class will be delivered virtually via the Zoom platform on the morning of Tuesday 15th February 2022, between 09:30 and 12:30.

This event will carry 2.5 hours Certified CPD

Our Master Class Lectures are aimed at delegates who already have an understanding of childhood acquired brain injury.

For those who are new to this topic we would recommend joining our “Understanding Childhood Acquired Brain Injury” Workshop (available for professionals only) prior to booking a Master Class Lecture, or viewing our E-Learning Sessions. Details for these can be found on our website – www.childbraininjurytrust.org.uk

Sleep is often an issue for the whole family when a child acquires a brain injury.  This Masterclass will help us to understand why sleep is such a vital part of the rehabilitation and adjustment process for so many families, following childhood ABI, and what can be done to ensure everyone gets a good nights sleep.

Content:

  • Basic understanding of sleep and why we do it/need it!
  • Difference in sleep requirements children, teens, adults
  • Why sleep can be disrupted following ABI
  • The need for sleep as part of the rehabilitation process following ABI
  • Strategies to regain good sleep practices thus aiding rehabilitation

We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of places to families we are supporting, without charge, so they can access the knowledge and information that will help them when sleep is a major issue after ABI.
