Job Description:

The Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing and delivering the charity’s financial processes and management reporting, and is a critical role working across the organisation.  The role is core to the ongoing growth and development of the charity which currently has an operating budget of £1.2m.  The postholder will require a methodical approach to their work with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.

Applicants must be experienced with a high level of skill in the use of accounting software Sage 50.

Job Scope

  1. Transactional Finance activity, including invoicing and book-keeping
  2. Producing Monthly Management Accounts
  3. Day to day responsibility for Sage and other relevant software systems and processes.
  4. Payroll and Pension Administration for c. 40 team members
  5. Assisting with Year End accounting, quarterly VAT returns and Gift Aid reporting
  6. Preparation and presentation of other financial information to Head of Finance
