This book has been developed by the team at the Child Brain Injury Trust for young people who have been affected by acquired brain injury (ABI). The aim of the book is to help young people understand how and why their brain injury affects them and offers strategies to help them overcome some of the common difficulties following ABI.

There is a lot of information in this book, and we suggest that you encourage your son or daughter to only read a little at a time. You may also like to reassure them that although we have covered all the more common areas of difficulty, it does not mean they will be affected by all of them – every one affected by ABI is different.
