Alison’s Occupational Therapy and Case Management experience includes working with young people and adults with complex needs and disabilities acquired through life changing incidents, birth trauma or medical negligence. Alison has previously supported clients with acquired brain injury as a support worker (since 2009) and team leader as well as now being a qualified Occupational Therapist. Alison works closely with the adult or young person and their family and actively advocates for her clients and their families. She is involved in the recruitment and retention of therapy and support teams. Her OT role looks at person centred rehabilitation goals as well as advice on housing adaptations or requirements. Skills include money management, travel training, cooking and shopping skills, independent living skills and accessing education or employment.

Alison is registered with the HCPC and is a Registered Practitioner member of BABICM. She is also a member of RCOT, RCOTSS-IP and RCOTSS-CYPF.
