The Child Brain Injury Trust is bringing an exciting and brand new event to Manchester! This is your opportunity to secure a place at our Art Exhibition and Networking event which will be followed by a hotly anticipated Legal Conference.

Art Exhibition & Networking Evening

Tuesday 12th March 2019, 6pm – late

The Castlefield Rooms, 18-20 Castle Street, Manchester, M3 4LZ

Each year, the Child Brain Injury Trust celebrates the artistic talents of the children we support by asking them to create a masterpiece for our Art Exhibition. We are delighted to be hosting this event in the city of Manchester for the first time and we invite you to join us to share these wonderful images as well as having the chance to acquire them on the night through a silent auction! The children all donate their artwork to help the charity raise thousands of pounds to support our vital work. However, as well as celebrating the creative genius of these children, this event will give our supporters the chance to come together before our Legal Conference and network for the evening over drinks, wonderful company and of course, food!

Legal Conference

Wednesday 13th March 2019, 08.45am – 16.30pm

JMW Solicitors, 1 Byrom Place, Manchester, M3 3HG

Detailed programme will be unveiled shortly. Places are limited and the content will be positioned at Senior Litigator level.

Confirmed speakers include:

Former High Court Judge, Sir William Charles

A barrister who was First Junior Counsel to the Treasury on Chancery matters from 1989 to 1998.  He was appointed a High Court Judge in 1998 and assigned to the Family Division.  In 2013, he was appointed Vice President of the Court of Protection and was also President of the Upper Tribunal (AAC).  He retired in 2018.

Nick Martin, Director from Nestor

Nick will examine how to effectively ‘make the money last post settlement’. He has over 25 years’ experience, specialising in personal injury investment for the last 15. During that time, he’s built up an unbeatable specialist knowledge of periodical payments, personal injury trusts and complex high court and court of protection investment cases.

Dominic Woodhouse, National Training Manager/Advocate Partners in Costs

Dominic has specialised in costs law since 2002, with a particular focus on high value complex clinical negligence actions, industrial disease and all forms of employer’s liability. With a focus on the North of England, Dominic has invaluable knowledge of various Courts and Regional Costs Judges.

Since 2013 Dominic has also found he is increasingly appearing at the High Court in London as demand for specialist attendance at Costs Case Management Conferences has grown.

With a keen eye for detail, Dominic is a well-regarded educator in the ever-evolving costs industry and is often engaged for training by law and costs firms alike.
