Press release – 03rd July 2025

On Thursday, the 31st of July, four inspiring leaders will swap boardrooms and courtrooms for parachutes as they skydive from 13,000 feet, all to support families affected by childhood-acquired brain injury.

Leading the way is Lisa Turan, CEO of the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT)

Lisa will be joined by Helen Jackson (Managing Director, Bush & Co Kids), Pete Mottram (Practice Director, No5 Barristers’ Chambers), and Nicola Stanwix (Associate Solicitor, Serious Injury Law Limited). Together, they aim to raise £25,000  with the quartet skydive to fund CBIT’s crucial support services.

“This isn’t about adrenaline, it’s about action,” said Lisa Turan. “Every day, CBIT supports families facing unimaginable challenges after a childhood-acquired brain injury. By skydiving from 13,000 feet, we’re showing them that they’re not alone and that we’ll go to any height to stand beside them.”

Every 15 minutes in the UK, a child sustains a brain injury.

For these families, the journey is often marked by confusion, isolation, and fear. The Child Brain Injury Trust provides vital services that help families rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and resilience.

The skydive is set to take place at Airfield Hinton in Northamptonshire from 12:30 pm and will be a powerful demonstration of solidarity and leadership from professionals who understand the impact of acquired brain injury firsthand.

Donations raised from the skydive will go directly towards the Child Brain Injury Trust’s services, including family support, education resources, advocacy, and emotional guidance.

The four brave leaders invite the public and corporate partners to support this incredible feat by donating through the official JustGiving page for this thrilling event: https://www.justgiving.com/page/cbitskydive.
