Meet the Team
Bethany is a Partner and Head of Leigh Day’s Leeds office. She has over 17 years’ experience acting exclusively for claimants and specialises in high value serious injury claims, including brain and spinal injury, amputee claims and fatal accidents.
Bethany has represented many clients who have sustained life-changing injuries, working with them to ensure rehabilitation is in place as soon as possible. Rehabilitation is a true passion for Bethany, and she is known for working with defendants early on to engage a collaborative working relationship, which often pays dividends for the clients in being able to access funds and therapies far quicker than would otherwise be the case.
She has an extensive working knowledge of procedure and relevant case law. Having an excellent eye for detail and incredible focus on client care, she has nothing but 5* reviews from her clients. Known for her ability to handle the most complex litigation and building cases to ensure maximisation of damages for clients, she is a go to for these types of cases.
Bethany is an APIL accredited Brain Injury Specialist, being a hallmark of her niche specialism in representing clients who have sustained traumatic brain injuries and are Protected Parties. Bethany is a Headway accredited practitioner, as well as a committee member of her local Headway group.
Matthew is a Partner in Leigh Day’s Clinical Negligence team in Leeds, representing individuals who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries.
He has a strong track record in child brain injury litigation, where he has recovered awards in the tens of millions of pounds for children who have suffered catastrophic injuries.
Recognising the unique complexities of claims involving children and the far-reaching consequences that extend beyond the immediate medical challenges, Matthew is committed to securing the comprehensive support that families need.
