Mandy, Adele, Callum Clyde Zipslide 2016This autumn has seen some very brave souls taking part in challenges to raise money for our Scottish Child and Family Support Project.

First up (and featured in the picture on the left across from Glasgow’s iconic ‘armadillo’ music venue): Mandy Scholes; our very own Support Co-ordinator for the West of Scotland Adele Donaldson; and Callum Creaney all zoomed across the river Clyde on a zipslide in September.

Our zipsliders all did a fantastic job with their fundraising, raising over £900 between them – and they all enjoyed the challenge too!

Mandy told us “I’m up for doing this again in the future… it was brilliant!!”

The start of October saw the annual autumnal leg of the Forth Bridge Abseil. We abseil-2016-1were delighted that Aegon’s Edinburgh-based Retail Upgrade Team took all eight of our spaces in this event and raised money as a team building exercise, smashing their target and raising £2000!

Huge thanks to all of our fab fundraisers for taking these leaps and raising much needed money for our work with families across Scotland. If you’d like to take on a challenge like this, get in touch with our Scottish Fundraiser Claire Murray at clairemurray@cbituk.org.
